St. Vincent de Paul (SVP)

Posted on 06. Aug, 2010 in Parish Groups and Organisations

The society of St. Vincent de Paul is a worldwide, voluntary, non-profit making organization, dedicated to serving the poor, through person-to-person contact and visitation.

We offer short-term material support, friendship and guidance to those in need; however, we strive to assist those we help to achieve self-sufficiency, and longer-term solutions. Confidentiality is paramount in all we do, and no act of charity is foreign to our vocational works. We are committed to identifying and removing the root causes of poverty, with a view to creating societal change.
