Week of Prayer for Christian Unity

Posted on 07. Jan, 2013 in Faith, Parish News

Each year Christians throughout the world celebrate the week of prayer for Christian unity. The week culminates with the celebration of the feast of the Conversion of Saint Paul.

The Parish of Cookstown has the privilege of hosting the Ecumenical Prayer Service organised by the Cookstown and District Clergy Forum. The prayer service will take place on January 21st in Holy Trinity Church beginning at 8pm. The Rev. Kenny Hall, Dean of Clogher, will preach. All are welcome to attend.

Christian unity is a vital aspect of the life of the Catholic Church. We must strive to build up those things that we have in common. There are many varied activities and so many people at all levels striving to make progress in this area.
